X-TYPE - STAINLESS STEEL SET
 
For Stratocaster® type guitars
 
NOTE: These are large coverless pickups.  The size of these pickups are the same as a standard Strat pickup cover. (no scratchplate modification required)
 
These Polished Stainless Steel oversized single coil pickups have been designed from the ground up. Every step of its design ensures the greatest tone whilst offering  minimal electrical noise.
 
The oversized chassis / bobbin is made using 100% stainless steel, This forms the basis of the noise free design.
 
Each pickup comes with two mounting screws and springs for height adjustment.
 
The oversized coils on these pickups are 100% hand scatter wound with 42 gauge copper wire for ultimate tone. The oversized bobbins enable more windings to be applied to the pickup for a greater response. The coil winds are also microshielded with a thin copper film, this ensures that the coil is totally encapsulated keeping the electrical noise out of the pickup.
 
The AlNiCo 5 rod magnets  is the engine to this pickup. The magnet is gaussed (charged) in a particular way to ensure that optimal tone and dynamics are produced within the coil. 
 
The hook up wires are a studio grade, Van Damme®, Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) shielded 2x wire conducter giving you best noise rejection and wiring options.
 
Please note, Electrical/Electronic noise surrounds us, not only are pickups susceptable to this noise, your wiring harness is too. Therefore, pickup sets will come complete with a Switchcraft mono jack socket and studio grade Van Damme®, Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) shielded 2x wire conducter to reject further unwanted signals if required.
 
These pickups are described as '50mm/Neck', 52mm/Middle' and '52mm/Bridge'. This is the spacing of the pole pieces from the 1st sting to the 6th string.
